Violence in Iraq continues. And there appears to be no end in sight. The recent Shiite military uprising in Iraq killed 7 American soldiers in Sadr City. Reports say it was one of the worst single losses for the American forces in any firefight since Baghdad was captured a year ago.

     Now American commanders in Iraq are developing contingency plans to send more U.S. forces into the country, if the situation worsens. But this will only exacerbate an already messy, chaotic, and extremely volatile situation. Meanwhile more American dead and wounded keep coming home….
