Watching the Ontario Tory leadership race has been a bizarre spectacle. Front-runner Ernie Eves speaks of his "working-class roots," while supporters peddle him as a moderate happily liberated from the tenets of the Common Sense Revolution.

     Polls shows Eves has a better chance to win a provincial election than his leadership rivals. This only proves we’ve become, as Gore Vidal says, "amnesiacs in time."
