Politics thrives on speculation. In Canada, the idea that Michael Ignatieff wants to run for the leadership of the Liberal Party is a source of endless fascination for the news media and political junkies.
Ignatieff will be returning to Canada after working for many years as a professor and journalist in Britain. He recently accepted the position of visiting Professor in Human Rights Policy at the University of Toronto. He takes up his new post in January 2006.
