SENATOR CLINTON AND THE IRAQ WAR

Senator Hillary Clinton opened her campaign for U.S. president in Iowa recently with the slogan: "Let the Conversation Begin." The following day she accused President Bush of trying to pass the problems in Iraq on to the next president. She described his actions as "the height of "irresponsibility."
Although the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire Primary are still one-year away, the "23-month campaign" for president has already begun. Numerous critical issues will be discussed including: Healthcare, immigration, and poverty. But the overriding issue will be the Iraq War. And that’s where Senator Clinton must take a firmer stand.
