It would be easy to dismiss the Canadian Heritage committee’s recent 872-page report entitled "Our Cultural Sovereignty." After all, we’ve had two other major reports that warned governments of the dangers of media monopolies in the past. First there was the Davey Report in 1970. Then we had the Kent Commission in 1981. Among other things, those reports recommended reducing media concentration. In both cases, the governing Liberals did nothing....
