The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) recently released their annual The State of The World’s Children report for 2005. It makes for heartbreaking reading.
The report entitled "Childhood Under Threat" states that more than one billion children are denied "the healthy and protected upbringing promised by the 1989’s Convention on the Rights of Children." In short, that means out of the world’s 2.2 billion children –one billion live in poverty....
