When former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth won an Academy Award last month, environmental awareness received a boost.

     Hailed as a "green icon" Gore has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. He’s also announced plans for a "Live Earth Concert for a Climate in Crisis" scheduled for this summer.

     Although Gore says government must take big steps on the environment, he insists individual action makes a difference too. For example: Using less hot water, "checking your tires," and planting a tree.
