WINNING OLYMPIC BID COULD PUT TORONTO’S HOMELESS AT RISK

July 13th is D-Day. I’ll be down at Tent City (Toronto’s renowned homeless encampment on Cherry Street) with a group of homeless, and homeless advocates as we learn what the future will bring; July 13th being the day that the International Olympic Committee makes their decision on the 2008 Olympics. If the decision goes to TO-Bid and Toronto, then life will change for all of those living at Tent City, and for many more of us in the downtown core, and indeed across the city as a whole.
