SHRINKING OUR ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINTS

It seems that everyone is jumping on the global warming awareness bandwagon these days, and former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore says "that the tipping point" on climate change is near.
The change in public attitude is largely due to Gore himself, who has almost single-handedly brought the message out of the realm of fanatical scare-mongering and into the awareness of mainstream social consciousness. Biologists, scientists, and tenacious environmentalists like David Suzuki have endured endless frustration and ridicule during the past few years as they, too, have tried to convince the public about global warming. But for some reason, it’s Al Gore’s credibility and passion that is finally reaching us. Some might say his achievement has come just in the knick of time.
