THAT BLESSED STATE OF CONSTANT CURIOSITY

A few years ago, in an effort to keep ourselves entertained during interminably long line-ups at Canada’s Wonderland –sorry, Paramount Canada’s WonderlandTM– some friends and I resorted to asking each other ridiculous questions to pass the time. There were classics such as, "If you had to choose one or the other for the rest of your life, would you choose bacon or ice cream?" I’m a vegetarian and I still chose bacon, based on the following logic: tofu bacon is not to real bacon as frozen yogurt is to ice cream, and some day I might really, really need to eat real bacon. I am open to that possibility....
