In a recent interview with Jane Fonda in Ms. magazine, Robin Morgan asked about her "spiritual search." She then added: "Some activists are concerned, having heard you’ve become a born-again Christian."
Fonda’s reply was direct: "Well, I was raised with a ‘crust’ over all things metaphysical," she said. "It began to crack at the end of my second marriage, to Tom Hayden –when I was in the kind of heartbreak so painful it becomes physical. Yet I –I felt somehow broken open– humming, with well reverence. I interpreted what I was feeling from a secular view. Then I fell in love."
