It’s just over a month since the Tsunami disaster –and the news media coverage has subsided. But the images of lost lives and wreckage are still inscribed in my psyche.

     Jim DeHarpporte is the West Coast Regional Director for U.S. Catholic Relief Services. He traveled to Indonesia after the Tsunami. In mid-January he wrote that: "It is hard to find words to describe the devastation. It looks as if a giant scrapper came along and cleared everything in its path –family, community, history."
