I often approach movie re-makes with a sense of trepidation. It seems that, however much talent there is behind the project, there are just so many levels in which it can fail. In order for a movie to be re-make material in the first place, it has to have struck a real chord with the audiences of the time. That means there was something about the era that made the characters or the plot especially relevant….
