The Western, that most American of film genres, has found new life in the movie Open Range.
The formula for the Kevin Costner-directed film, based on a Lauran Paine novel, is an old one. In essence it is this: a small group of men, alone in a lawless wilderness, meet evil forces. They feel they have no alternative but to impose their own morality by force in order to survive....
