Twenty-six-year-old Francisca Chixoy lives in a village 20 kilometers west of Quetzaltenago –an area in the Highland region of Guatemala. Francisca is indigenous Maya. She is the youngest of 10 children. Her mother died at the age of 32 while giving birth to her eleventh child. Francisca’s work has always included taking care of her aging father who lives with her young family of 7 children....
